Gesso can be used on most porous and non-porous surfaces like paper mache, canvas, masonite, tin cans, and chip or shortening cans. Coats textured surfaces making them even, smooth, white and ready for paint. Creates a slight texture over smooth surfaces for paint adhesion. Apply over dark colors when basecoating a light color for fewer coats of paint. Will hide slight imperfections in wood, may be sanded when dry. Do not use on tile and glass.
